● rash, rashs ou rashes nom masculin (anglais rash, éruption) Éruption cutanée de courte durée survenant au cours d'une maladie fébrile, que celle-ci soit d'origine infectieuse (virale, par exemple) ou parasitaire, ou encore au cours d'une intoxication médicamenteuse. MÉD., PATHOL. Éruption cutanée transitoire qui se manifeste lors de maladies fébriles non éruptives. Certains érythèmes infectieux ont une durée éphémère de quelques heures: ce sont les rashs précédant parfois de douze à trente-six heures l'extériorisation de la maladie infectieuse (QUILLET Méd. 1965, p. 299).
